Terms of Service

These terms apply to everyone who uses Opus Funds Finder. Claimants: section 1 explains our role, our fee, how your money is paid, and your right to cancel.

How your money moves

  1. The court or trustee pays the recovered surplus to your attorney, who holds it in the attorney’s trust account.
  2. Your attorney disburses the funds through Confido Legal (Confido Inc.), a third-party legal payments platform. Your share goes directly to the bank account you choose, and our fee is paid separately, as you authorized in your Authorization to Disburse.
  3. Opus Funds Finder never holds, receives, or has access to your money or your attorney’s trust account. Our fee is contingent: if nothing is recovered, you owe us nothing.

Confido processes payments under its own terms and privacy policy. Confido is not a party to your Recovery Fee Agreement.

Your right to cancel

  • Before you sign a Recovery Fee Agreement, you can stop using our services at any time, at no cost.
  • After you sign, you may cancel the Recovery Fee Agreement within ten (10) days by sending a notice of cancellation by regular United States mail to:

  • The notice must be posted no later than midnight of the tenth (10th) day after you sign, not counting Sundays and holidays, as provided in your agreement and in RCW 61.24.135(4).
  • If you cancel within that period, you owe us nothing.

Text message alerts

  • Program: Opus Funds Finder case alerts. Clients and attorneys who opt in receive text updates about their own case, such as when an attorney accepts a case, when a claim is filed, when funds are released, and when a payout is sent.
  • Opting in: texts are only sent after you enter your mobile number and check the consent box in your portal or attorney settings. Consent is not a condition of using our services.
  • Frequency: message frequency varies with your case, usually a few messages per case.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Opus Funds Finder does not charge for text alerts.
  • Opting out: reply STOP to any message to stop all texts, or turn alerts off in your portal. Reply HELP for help, or email info@opusfinds.com.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Your mobile number and consent are never sold, and are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.
